C4TEF envisioned to align its work with the Government of India:

C4TEF intends to provide wide range of activities targeted at prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and support for individuals affected by TB.

Here are some key roles that C4TEF plays in the fight against TB –

  • RAISING AWARENESS about TB within communities, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and treatment.
  • ADVOCACY FOR POLICIES that support TB control and elimination at local, national, and international levels.
  • MOBILIZING COMMUNITIES to actively participate in TB prevention and control efforts.
  • SCREENING PROGRAMS IN HIGH-RISK AREAS to identify individuals with TB symptoms.
  • FOCUS ON VULNERABLE POPULATIONS, such as those living in poverty, marginalized communities, occupationally vulnerable groups such as waste collectors, cleaning personnel (Safai Karmachari), construction laborers, mine workers and loaders and people with limited access to healthcare. We provide support and resources to ensure these groups receive screening, treatment and proper TB care.
  • COLLABORATION WITH HEALTHCARE FACILITIES to facilitate early diagnosis through sputum testing, chest X-rays, and other diagnostic method.
  • COLLABORATION WITH GOVERNMENT HEALTH AGENCIES, international organizations, and other stakeholders to create a coordinated and comprehensive response to TB.
  • FOSTERING PARTNERSHIPS with local communities, businesses, and academia to strengthen the overall impact of their initiatives.
    • To curtail the spread of infection by the infected individual to the uninfected.
    • Promoting and providing nutrition for early recovery from Tuberculosis.
    • To reduce the burden of catastrophic costs among those who fall ill with TB and improve health outcomes.
    • To bring the learnings, innovations and effective strategies from across the globe to support the government to eliminate TB by 2025.
  • PROVIDING PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT to individuals and families affected by TB, addressing the social stigma associated with the disease and helping people cope with its impact.
  • TB EXPERTS FROM ACROSS GLOBE WILL BE CONSULTED by C4TEF and will be involved in capacity building of local Doctors, other healthcare workers and Panchayati raj ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage TB cases.
  • C4TEF WILL ENGAGE IN RESEARCH TO IDENTIFY INNOVATIVE APPROACHES for TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatments.
  • C4TEF WILL GATHER LEARNINGS, BRING INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND STRATEGIES for TB diagnosis and treatment from across the globe and will incorporate it to support the Government of India in eliminating the TB.
